Teen Dies in Car Accident – Pueblo Car Accident Attorney

A 17-year-old boy was killed in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday just west of town. The Colorado State Patrol identified the teen as Eric D’Ambrosia of Gardner. According to the Pueblo Cheiftain, a patrol report states that excessive speed was considered a contributing factor in the crash. The accident happened on Road 550 about 3 miles west of town. The patrol said that D’Ambrosia was driving westbound when he traveled off the right side of the road. The car re-entered the roadway briefly before being overcorrected and veering off the road again. The car hit a fence before rolling end over end. D’Ambrosia was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, in 2008, 548 people in Colorado were killed in motor vehicle involved crashes. Of the 548 fatalities, 42 were pedestrians, 83 were motorcyclists and 56 were semi-truck involved.
