A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy in training caused a three car accident on C-470 on Sunday. According to the Denver Post, the deputy was making a u-turn across the median to respond to a call when he pulled into traffic and was struck by two trucks. The two deputies in the patrol car and one of the truck drivers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
