According to the Denver Post, a Colorado State Trooper was injured in a multi-vehicle Pueblo crash on I-25 earlier this week. Trooper Kohnlein was busy working on another Pueblo car crash when the multi-vehicle accident occurred. The car was pushed into the officer and he was taken to a Pueblo hospital for treatment. At the time of the accident, the Colorado roads were slick and people were driving too fast for the icy conditions. Unfortunately, this is the second injury to a Colorado state trooper in less than 48 hours.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the main causes of Colorado car accidents are excessive speed, inattention to driving, and aggressive driving. In particular, drivers in Pueblo and throughout Colorado are urged to use extra caution during the winter months. Snow, sleet, and ice can make normal driving conditions even worse, and cause catastrophic and often fatal Pueblo car accidents.
