The Cheiftain reported a fatal car accident on I-25. The police released information saying that there was a woman crossing the Northbound highway when she was struck by an SUV. The woman who was hit died on the scene. The report indicated that she traveled 50 yards after being struck by the SUV. The driver of the SUV is expected to not be cited for the accident. The driver reported that she was driving the posted speed when the woman came into her lane. The car’s rear and front windshields were broken along with some damage to the hood.
