It seems that there are as many different causes of car accidents as there are crashes. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, there are over 5 million car accident every year in the United States. Most of them are exactly what they sound like: accidents. Additionally, most of them don’t result in anyone being seriously injured. However, the ones that do result in serious injuries, or the over 30,000 each year that result in fatalities, can be extremely expensive, on top of the physical and emotional pain that they cause. Medical bills can rack up quickly, especially if medical care is needed for years into the future for massive injuries such as traumatic brain injury.
